FAQ — AI erase / remove watermark
Is AI erase free?
Yes. This is Local AI (LaMa in your browser) — it does not use fal or paid cloud credits. The model downloads once (~200MB) and is cached.
Why does the first run take long?
Downloading and initializing the ONNX model in WASM can take a minute. Later runs are faster.
My result looks wrong — what should I do?
Paint a smaller mask around the watermark only. Large painted areas are harder to reconstruct.
Are my photos uploaded?
Inference runs in the browser. Only the model file is fetched from a CDN/Hugging Face once. This path never bills cloud AI quota.
